Portal that brings stories from people related to PM Modi launched

A new portal, modistory.in, has been launched to compile “inspiring” stories related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, shared by individuals who have interacted with him throughout his life. The announcement of the portal, called MODI STORY, was made via its Twitter handle. The initiative, driven by volunteers, aims to gather moments from Narendra Modi’s life as narrated by those who have journeyed with him. The inauguration of the portal was conducted by Smt. Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni, Mahatma Gandhi’s granddaughter and a longstanding friend of Shri Narendra Modi.

Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni emphasized the connection between Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings and Modi’s transformative impact, stating, “Gandhiji taught us to be the change we wish to see for Bharat. Modi is that change.”

MODI STORY shares narratives, experiences, and anecdotes from various individuals, including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoranjan Kalia from Punjab, who interacted with Modi during his early political days, Rasbihari Maniyar, Modi’s school principal in Vadnagar, Gujarat, and Sharda Prajapati, in whose house the future prime minister often stayed during his tours in the 1990s. Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra and ace shuttler Pullela Gopichand have also contributed their experiences with the prime minister.

The stories reflect on Modi’s unpretentious behavior and his deep connection with different aspects of Indian society. Manoranjan Kalia recalls Modi’s astute understanding of election campaigning and his advice to carry toffees for children during electioneering. Rasbihari Maniyar notes Modi’s profound regard for the country’s armed forces and shares an incident from Modi’s youth when he approached him with a sainik school application form. Many contributors highlight Modi’s early motivations to work for the country, showcasing his dedication to party work as he traveled extensively.
